The individual posts are stories about individuals and also about the places they came from, where they lived and some of the events that took place which are relevant to appreciating who they were and who I am as well.
As illustrated by the family tree above, by going back four generations, my ancestry involves a total of 16 families. These families are from very diverse places of origin, including the old counties of Gloucestershire and Somerset in England, Limerick and Dublin in Ireland; Lanarkshire in Scotland; Baden-Württemberg (near the Swiss border) and Bavaria in modern Germany; and Cardiganshire in Wales.
My ancestors with the surname, “Hazell”, are just one of these ancestral families. My plan is to eventually write something about each family, if not about all the individuals in detail.
